My Reviews

It was pleasure working and collaborating with Vishal on different projects for 2 years at IITG . I was impressed with his leadership skills , proactiveness and team effort. Thanks for helping me out in the difficult situations. Keep helping and motivating others.

-Ayush Kumar, Incoming GMET, JLR, (IITG graduate)

I have worked with Vishal on different projects for 3 years now. When it comes to the projects we undertook, I can tell that he has always been a very hard-working, dedicated, and committed person. I am a software developer, and his successful collaboration with someone from a different field like me shows his collaborative and team-working abilities. It was fun working as a team with him.

-Raut Prajwal Vishvanath, Incoming Analyst, Citi Bank, (IITG graduate)

I worked with Vishal on the SAE team of IITG. He stood out with his technical skills and eagerness to learn and adapt to situations. He effeciently managed people under his subsystem to complete the project on time. It was a pleasure to work with him.

-Sadaival Singh, Incoming GET, Bajaj Auto, (IITG graduate)

Generative design Engineering

  • Generative design is a design exploration process. Designers or engineers input design goals into the generative design software, along with parameters such as performance or spatial requirements, materials, manufacturing methods, and cost constraints.

  • It is an iterative design process that involves a program that will generate a certain number of outputs that meet certain constraints, and a designer that will fine tune the feasible region by selecting specific output or changing input values, ranges and distribution.

Benefits of generative design for manufacturing :

  • Helping manufacturers do more, better, and with less.

  • LIGHT WEIGHTING

  • PERFORMANCE IMPACT

  • PARTS CONSOLIDATION

  • SUSTAINABILITY

Topology Optimization

  • Topology optimization (TO) is a mathematical method that optimizes material layout within a given design space, for a given set of loads, boundary conditions and constraints with the goal of maximizing the performance of the system.

  • TO is different from shape optimization and sizing optimization in the sense that the design can attain any shape within the design space, instead of dealing with predefined configurations.

Reverse Engineering

  • In mechanical engineering, the term reverse engineering (often abbreviated to RE) is used to summarise the process of reconstructing an existing object.

  • When designing an object from scratch, an engineer will draw up a design specification and produce drawings from which the item is constructed. Conversely, with reverse engineering, the design engineer starts with the final product and works through the design process in the opposite direction to arrive at the product design specification. During the process, vital information about the design concept and manufacturing methods is discovered.

What is Reverse Engineering used for ?

  • Legacy Components

  • Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) issues

  • Design Development, Part Testing & Analysis

  • Competitor Analysis

  • Bespoke and Ancient objects

  • Modern manufacturing

Vehicle dynamics

  • For motorized vehicles, such as automobiles, aircraft, and watercraft, vehicle dynamics is the study of vehicle motion, e.g., how a vehicle's forward movement changes in response to driver inputs, propulsion system outputs, ambient conditions, air/surface/water conditions, etc.

  • Vehicle dynamics is a part of engineering primarily based on classical mechanics.

Factors affecting vehicle dynamics :

  • Drivetrain and braking

  • Suspension and steering

  • Distribution of mass

  • Aerodynamics

  • Tires

Biomimetics

  • Biomimetics is based on the belief that nature, at least at times, is a good engineer. Biomimesis is the scientific method of learning new principles and processes based on systematic study, observation and experimentation with live animals and organisms.

  • Humans have looked at nature for answers to problems throughout our existence. Nature has solved engineering problems such as self-healing abilities, environmental exposure tolerance and resistance, hydrophobicity, self-assembly, and harnessing solar energy.

Bio-inspired technologies :

  • Locomotion

  • Bio-inspired Computing

  • Biomimetic Architecture

  • Fibonacci spirals for concentrated solar arrays

  • bioWAVE tidal energy

Electric Vehicle

  • An electric vehicle (EV) is a vehicle that uses one or more electric motors or traction motors for propulsion. An electric vehicle may be powered through a collector system by electricity from off-vehicle sources, or may be self-contained with a battery, solar panels, fuel cells or an electric generator to convert fuel to electricity

  • By 2030, the government aims to make India a 100-per cent electric-vehicle nation. It has proposed that two-wheelers below the engine capacity of 150cc sold in the country after March 31, 2025, and three-wheelers sold after March 31, 2023, should be EVs.

  • As Indian economy is caught up in a slowdown, the future of the automobile industry is pinned on electric vehicles. And EV technology in India is, in turn, highly dependent on innovation and government incentives

Vehicle types :

  • Pure-electric vehicles

  • Hybrid EVs

  • Plug-in electric vehicle

  • Range-extended electric vehicle

  • On- and off-road EVs

  • Railborne EVs

Charging Options Available :

  • Grid capacity

  • Charging stations

  • Battery swapping

  • Dynamic charging
